Our Architectural Historians exceed 36CFR 61 certification and can assist with or complete any level of documentation, whether a property owner wants to place their building on the National Register of Historic Places, or a developer needs to comply with state and Federal regulations.

Historic preservation projects usually require a high level of detail in historic background reporting, architectural description, site mapping, line drawings, and photography. SCI handles all of this work in-house and works with the pertinent Federal and state agencies to minimize the costs associated with compliance projects.

The company also offers all necessary services to ensure that the project documentation package meets the often stringent requirements of the National Park Service, including such highly specialized services as large-scale photography and HABS/HAER documentation.

In addition, SCI will coordinate and consult with project architects, engineers, and contractors. Our staff provides all services — from writing National Register nominations and submitting Historic Preservation Tax Credit applications, to monitoring historic rehabilitation of buildings.
