SCI provided Phase III Construction Engineering and Material Testing Services for the rehabilitation of four ramps in the Poplar Street Bridge complex.  Our experienced staff allowed the $37+ million project to be performed without the need for on-site IDOT District personnel. The project featured the inspection of nine bridges, deck removal and replacement, structural steel paint inspection, microsilica overlays, pier column modifications, seismic and redundancy retrofitting of steel beams, seismic pier column wraps, deck patching, and bearing replacement. 

The project also included extensive traffic control and protection with detours to maintain open driving lanes into and out of St. Louis. SCI received an excellent rating from IDOT for this project.
