SCI provided the Quality Assurance Testing for the construction of the $312-million MidAmerica Airport at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. The project featured over 100 acres of airfield pavement, including a 10,000-foot runway, 20,000 feet of taxiway, the extension of an existing runway and two 270-foot taxiway bridges. All construction was in accordance with Illinois Department of Transportation-Division of Aeronautics guidelines.

Construction was completed under budget and the new airfield was opened on schedule.

SCI currently holds blanket purchase agreement No. W912QR-08-A-0021 with the U.S. Army Engineer District Louisville to provide Quality Assurance Testing for the Construction Division Field Offices at Scott Air Force Base.
