SCI prepared the reassessment of the Environmental Impact Statement and provided Geotechnical Services for a new roadway to relieve congestion and improve roadway access in Edwardsville, Glen Carbon, and neighboring communities in Illinois. The new roadway consists of two 12-foot lanes and a center 12-foot bidirectional turn lane, and provides direct access to the central business district in the project area.

The scope of work included wetland/biological and cultural resource surveys, air quality study, hazardous waste survey, and noise analysis and socioeconomic studies. In addition to consulting services, SCI was integral in assisting the Madison County Highway Department with public information meetings.
