SCI has provided on-site wetland and waterbody delineations and assistance through Section 404/401 Permitting for several of Innsbrook's community lakes. The lakes range in size from 0.6 to 25 acres and include Lake Kitzbuehl and Lake Brockfeld. The planning and development stages of the lake permitting process involved SCI's coordination with multiple agencies (including the USEPA, USACE, MDNR, and MDC), a review of threatened or endangered species habitat, and coordination of pre and post-lake construction hydrology. Alternatives analysis, responses to public notice comments and formal Mitigation Plans were also developed as a part of the permitting process.
