Mississippi River Greenway - Jefferson Barracks County Park
St. Louis, Missouri

SCI conducted a wetland delineation for the Mississippi River Greenway located within the northeastern corner of the Jefferson Barracks County Park. The area delineated is divided into two tracts that measure a total of approximately 3 acres. The northern tract measures approximately 1 acre and exists along the northern side of the municipal ash settling basins. The southern tract exists along the southern side of the ash settling basins and measures approximately 2 acres. These sites will be used for the development of a proposed 12-foot wide bike/walking trail and pedestrian bridge that will traverse over a portion of railroad track. The project site is located adjacent to the Mississippi River, contains three wetlands, and is within the 100-year floodplain. Findings were submitted to the Corps of Engineers to apply for the Section 404 and Section 401 permits. In addition, a Jurisdictional Determination form was completed to assess and review wetland characteristics and conditions.
