SCI submitted to St. Louis County Parks a Hydrologic Management Plan for Little Creve Coeur Lake (LCCL) in Creve Coeur Park in Maryland Heights. The goal of the study was to identify the appropriate hydrology to maintain LCCL as an open water ecosystem. As part of the overall review, the LCCL Study Area was divided into four units - Parks Wetland, MoDOT Wetlands, LCCL, and a Fallow Area. Within each unit, soils, hydrology, and vegetation were analyzed and evaluated.

The report included a review of the on-site conditions, historic drainage, management objectives, and a preliminary plan to achieve the desired goals of the St. Louis Parks staff. SCI made several recommendations to sustain and enhance the area's hydrologic and wetland functions. These included: apply a prescribed burn within LCCL; reduce the effect of on-site drainage ditches/swales; and connect emergent wetland ecosystems.
