SCI has provided geotechnical and construction services for the new $93.1 million, 72,924-square-foot ethanol production facility to be located along the west side of Illinois Route 3. The plant contains 11 structures, miscellaneous overhead piping and conveyors, an office building, laboratory, and other lightly-loaded structures. It will produce up to 54 million gallons of fuel per year, and is being designed for possible future expansion.

SCI's scope of work includes providing on-site soil analysis and compaction testing, rock column installation supervision and quality control testing of structural concrete and pavement materials as directed by and coordinated with MC Industrial/T.E. Ibberson.
