SCI provided geotechnical and construction services for the Outpatients services building and also on an expansion of the CVICU unit at the existing St. Luke's Hospital located in Chesterfield, Missouri. The CVICU addition will be a two-story structure with approximately 11,000 square feet in footprint. A helipad will be relocated to the south of the new addition with 12-foot retaining walls. SCI previously performed a geotechnical study for the nearby west campus development of St. Luke's Hospital, which is located along the west side of Old Woods Mill Road, just north of its intersection with Brooking Park. Construction services for both projects included compaction testing for structural fill, soil and aggregate subgrade and retaining walls, concrete testing for foundations, piers, floor slabs, and site work, pier observation, asphalt paving compaction testing, reinforcing and structural steel, and fireproofing. SCI also provided full-time MoDOT inspection services for road improvements on Highway 141 during the CVICU project.
