A total of 18 units will be built in Phase One of the new Single Soldier barracks construction, and 19 units will be constructed during Phase Two. Phase Three began in 2008, and when Phase Five is completed, the new barracks will house approximately 1,000 permanent-party soldiers. Geotechnical services for Phases One and Two have included attending meetings with the team and the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers, review of the project plans, data and preparing specifications, observation of test pits and associated laboratory testing, review of retaining wall designs and preparing a geotechnical report for the project site. Specific services for each of the Phases include:

Phase One – SCI provided subsurface investigations including global stability analysis. Construction services included compaction testing and observation services to complete the general site grading, as well as concrete, mortar and floor flatness testing.
Phase Two -- SCI provided subsurface investigations as well as global stability analysis for this project.  Construction services included soil compaction services, base rock testing and concrete compression testing on the actual structures.
Phase Three – SCI is providing geotechnical services including global stability and construction services including observation and compaction testing services during general grading on the project site, compaction testing of aggregate base and concrete testing during footing, foundation wall, and floor slab construction.
