SCI provided geotechnical, environmental, and construction services for a new 4.9-acre commercial development with three, single-story, structures with associated parking. The development includes a 2,600-square-foot Jiffy Lube and a 24,000-square-foot retail strip center. The geotechnical exploration included exploration of the subsurface conditions, and development of design and construction recommendations for the stability of detention basin slopes as well as recommendations for erosion control of the berm.

The Phase One Environmental Site Assessment was performed to explore for evidence of the presence of Recognized Environmental Conditions (RECs), and included historical and public records research, interviews, and a reconnaissance (walkover) survey. Construction services included density tests on the soil fill placed during general site grading, and special inspections including masonry grout placement observations, and structural steel evaluations.
