SCI provided geotechnical and construction services for this $12 million, 70,000-square-foot mixed-use development. The project features new retail, office and loft apartment structures to replace a number of old, abandoned buildings in the Edwardsville, Illinois area. The previous development of the property presented challenges to preparing the site for the new construction. Cisterns, partial basements and other former improvements required thorough documentation and expert field decisions to meet the demanding schedule.
