SCI Announces an Addition to the
Special Inspection Staff
St. Charles, MO – May 14, 2008. SCI Engineering, Inc. (SCI) is proud to announce that Barry Shewfelt has earned his Structural Steel Bolting Special Inspector certification.
Mr. Shewfelt joined SCI in March of 2006. His responsibilities include inspecting and testing reinforced concrete and asphaltic concrete during all construction phases as well as inspecting structural steel welding and masonry projects. Mr. Shewfelt also conducts soil density testing to verify compaction requirements during backfilling, general grading, and/or lime stabilization activities. He lives in Columbia, Illinois.
In addition to Structural Steel Bolting, SCI staffs ICC-certified Special Inspectors for: Structural Masonry, Reinforced Concrete, Post-Tensioned Concrete, and Fireproofing.
