Geotechnical Staff Engineer
SCI is seeking an experienced Geotechnical Staff Engineer. This opportunity will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to join a talented and experienced team of multi-disciplined design engineers working on a diverse range of high profile projects throughout the St. Louis area.
The work will primarily be in the St. Louis area, but some travel is expected. Candidate should have good verbal and writing skills, able to perform field work when needed, and have a strong computer background.
The candidate will primarily be responsible for management of geotechnical projects which includes performing subsurface investigations and analysis, construction oversight, and report preparation for the design and construction of buildings, roads, bridges, retaining walls, and dams. The candidate will contribute to client development and the growth of geotechnical services including proposal preparation and presentations, client networking and attendance at some business related functions.
Requirements include:

MS Degree in Civil Engineering (with geotechnical emphasis) preferred
-
Seven years classical geotechnical experience required (including geotechnical investigations, analysis and report preparation).

PE registration required.

Duties require experience with slope stability, pavement L-pile and other geotechnical software.

Also prefer some familiarity with geotechnical-related construction industry.
